Stripping to remove the last burr and create the final shine. Usually done with leather or man-made fabrics and a stropping paste. When stropping, please make sure that you really only pull the cutting edge and do not push it into the leather. This is especially true if you are using a stropping wheel on a machine. If necessary, you must turn the machine around for stropping. Especially for removing a burr, you will automatically hold the iron a little too high so that you can reach the burr. But be careful: if you are working with a coarse paste, take care on the back side not to accidentally create a rear micro bevel.
