The worn out bevel after a long freehand processing

Such a rounded shape (shown here a bit exaggerated) will the bevel approach after a longer freehand processing. You can see that the cutting angle is a bit larger than originally planned. But actually, that's not so bad. The bevel on the cutting edge can certainly be considered a type of micro-bevel. Only when it becomes too difficult to feel the tipping points for freehand grinding you have to straighten the bevel again.
